In education today, one size doesn’t fit all. EPIC One on One Charter School is dedicated to providing students and families with a learning environment that can meet an individual student’s unique needs. The core values of honesty, respect, tolerance, fairness, self-discipline, integrity, responsibility, citizenship, work ethic, and trust are the foundation upon which the School is built. Epic One on One Charter School is a FREE PreK-12 public school provided in partnership with Graham Public Schools for parents/students seeking a non-traditional educational setting utilizing internet-based, individualized self-paced instruction provided in nearly any location. Each course is taught by an Oklahoma certified teacher. Unlike other web based programs, parents can have Epic One on One remote based teachers come to your home or other locations to work with the students and meet with the parents on a regular basis throughout the year. EPIC One on One Charter School believes that learning best occurs when:

• Students are provided an opportunity to receive instruction in a manner that appeals to them and their family.
• Within appropriate guidelines, the curriculum is self-paced to benefit the individual student.
• The curriculum is accessible to students at a time that is best suited for his/her learning style.
• One-to-one teaching is used as appropriate.
• Real life context-based learning is emphasized.
• There is supplemental enrichment through individualized instruction, independent study, field trips, apprenticeships, and appropriate uses of technology, etc.
• The entire community serves as the school campus.
• Interesting, worthwhile learning opportunities are provided that will stimulate the interests of each student.

Who this program is for:

Our educational program is based on the instructional needs of our students. The One on One program is designed to meet the needs of many different types of students:

• Students who want a personalized education that is custom tailored to their individual needs.
• Students who want to attend school in an online environment.
• Students with scheduling conflicts and students who are not well-suited to a traditional classroom setting.
• Students who desire to learn at an accelerated pace.
• Students who desire to learn at their own pace.
• Students who need to remediate or learn at a slower pace and need the individualized instruction that the program provides.
• Students who live in school districts that cannot offer the breadth of curricular offerings available online.
• Students whose parents desire to be with their children more and exercise more control over their social and learning environments, and still want them to remain part of an accredited program and ultimately earn a high school diploma at no cost to the family.
• Students of varying ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds who desire an alternative to the traditional public education model that has not worked for them.

Child Find is a search for all children with disabilities who are not receiving a free, appropriate, public education.  This applies to children between the ages of birth and twenty-one years of age, who have not yet graduated from high school.  EPIC Charter School offers full educational opportunities for all students.If you suspect your child may have a disability, or know of a child with a disability who is not receiving a free, appropriate, public education, please contact me.
